As a Software Engineer at OpenText, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of reliable enterprise software solutions. You will work across frontend and backend technologies, applying strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills to build scalable and maintainable applications. You will take ownership of assigned features, participate in the complete software development lifecycle, and collaborate with engineering teams to solve technical challenges. You will also have opportunities to work with modern development practices, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled solutions. WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:

• Work with cross-functional teams and demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities.

• Understand security fundamentals and apply them during application development.

• Explore and apply AI tools and techniques where they can improve development efficiency and product capabilities.

• Participate in discussions around current projects, technical challenges, and future improvements.

• Continuously develop technical skills and stay current with evolving technologies.

What you will need to succeed: Must-Have Skills

• Strong programming fundamentals with Data Structures and Algorithms .

• Hands-on experience with Angular .

• Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot .

• Experience developing Microservices and REST APIs .

• Good knowledge of Oracle Database .

• Experience with JUnit and unit testing practices.

• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and software delivery processes .

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of frontend and backend application development.

• Good understanding of application scalability and performance.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities and work effectively within a team.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Redis or other caching technologies .

• Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or AMQ .

• Knowledge of frontend and backend design principles.

• Understanding of security fundamentals.

• Exposure to AI tools and technologies .

• Ability to adapt to new technologies and demonstrate a continuous learning mindset.
