1. Who we are

joinstartup.app ("joinstartup", "we", "us") is operated by iViewLabs Private Limited, India. We connect startup builders with founders through work-first matching — starter projects and work trials.

2. What we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Account info — name, email address (via Google OAuth or email signup)
  • Profile info — work history, skills, portfolio links, LinkedIn URL
  • CV / resume — uploaded files parsed to extract skills and experience
  • Founder submissions — project briefs, company name, contact email
  • Applications — scoping responses, trial pitches

We collect automatically: device type, browser, pages visited, and timestamps. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

3. How we use it

  • Match builders to relevant starter projects and work trials
  • Send transactional emails (project notifications, application updates)
  • Generate builder archetypes and skill profiles using AI
  • Improve the platform experience

4. AI processing

We use AI (Claude by Anthropic) to analyse CVs, shape project briefs, and score builder-project matches. Your data is processed for matching only — it is not used to train AI models. AI-generated outputs (archetypes, match scores) are stored alongside your profile.

5. Who sees your data

Founders see your profile, archetype, and application responses when you apply to their projects. We share data with:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Anthropic — AI processing (no data retention by Anthropic)
  • Vercel — application hosting

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us. CV files are processed and the extracted data is stored — the original file is not retained after processing.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can withdraw consent for AI processing. You can delete your account. Email us at the address below for any of these requests.

8. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, row-level security on our database, and PKCE authentication flows. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel.
