1. Agreement

By using joinstartup.app ("the platform"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform. We may update these terms — continued use means you accept updates.

2. What joinstartup does

joinstartup connects startup builders with founders through work-first matching. We facilitate starter projects (scoped deliverables) and work trials (paid 1-2 week engagements). We are a matching platform, not an employer.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. One account per person. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. For builders

By uploading your CV or creating a profile, you grant joinstartup permission to process your data using AI to generate archetypes, skill profiles, and match scores. Your profile may be shown to founders whose projects match your skills. You retain ownership of all work you produce.

5. For founders

By posting a starter project or work trial, you confirm you have authority to engage builders on behalf of your company. Project briefs you submit may be processed by AI and shown to matched builders. Payment terms for work trials are between you and the builder — joinstartup facilitates the introduction, not the contract.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading information
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the platform
• Use the platform to spam or harass other users
• Circumvent matching or distribute projects outside the platform to avoid fees
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise platform security

7. AI-generated content

Archetypes, match scores, project briefs, and other AI-generated outputs are provided as-is. They are tools to assist matching, not guarantees of fit. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI outputs.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit (CVs, briefs, applications). You grant joinstartup a licence to store, process, and display this content for platform operation. The joinstartup brand, design, and code are our property.

9. Limitation of liability

joinstartup is provided "as is". We do not guarantee matches, job outcomes, or project success. We are not liable for disputes between builders and founders. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, if any.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our privacy policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
